Stretching is defined as lengthening muscles deliberately by bending the body into various positions. However there is much more involved in stretching exercises than merely bending or positioning the body in various ways for stretching muscles. When you incorporate correct stretching techniques, it helps your body to ...become flexible, it increases the mobility of your joints, it improves your circulation, posture and the range of movements of your limbs and joints, it prevents injuries that usually occur while weight training or performing other exercises or sports, plus, it relieves stress.
Today's Tip: Look Within

Too often, while struggling, do we look to others for approval, appreciation and positive reinforcement; however, it is often up to us, as individuals, to find these things within ourselves, if we are to be truly successful. Always, within- are the parts of the world around us, so long as we are at peace and one with ourselves.
Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease - Hippocrates Circa 460 BC father of western medicine
There are no hopeless situations; there are only people who have grown hopeless about them.
Struggle and grow.

Tip of the Day: Spoil Yourself

Learn to laugh, enjoy things and the little things that cause a smirk or a smile. Life is stressful enough, so why burden yourself further, by forgetting the joy and humor that causes these things. Some days are more difficult than others, but you should never stop looking for reasons smile.
What the "morning rule" involves is making sure that you start every day by doing something very healthy for yourself... and by starting each day with a positive action that makes you feel good about doing this healthy action, it makes it harder to fall off the wagon later in the day.

This healthy action in the morning could be doing a good workout first thing in the morning or it could be cooking up an extremely healthy breakfast that gets you feeling great... or better yet, BOTH, see you at the gym ;)

[04/04/11]   Summer is just around the corner, so the gloom of Winter weather is waning. The question is simple. Are you focused, fit and filled with fervor to frolic in the warmth of the Sun, while flaunting and flossing in those suits and shorts? Well, perhaps you should get ready. :O)

[09/06/10]   “Be
patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the
questions themselves. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given
