I'm curious what type of person you are! Imagine this, you wake up with only enough time to do ONE of these to be ready for the day:

A.) Brush my hair and maybe try to throw it in a bun.
B.) I'm not leaving the house without my eyebrows done.

Today is the first day I start my new journey at Nova Strands. I have been so overwhelmed with all the love and support I have received during this journey to getting the salon ready for today’s soft opening. I couldn’t begin to list off all of the help I have received from every single person it’s extremely overwhelming and I’m forever grateful, you all know who you are 🤍!!!

My husband deserves such a huge shout out. He’s not only been a general contractor for this job but he has done the vast majority of the work himself, while still growing a business of his own and being the best daddy in the world!!

Today as I go into work as a stylist of Malva House of Hair I am overwhelmed with total and complete gratitude.

A few weeks shy of 4 years I have experienced the honor it is to be a stylist within these walls. Working here I have been the most inspired I’ve ever been in my 12 year career.

Nathan- I am so thankful that you had this dream and that you choose to not let anything stop you to getting to it. It has changed my life forever and I could never thank you enough for that. I truly know this isn’t the end of this friendship and partnership, it’s just simply a new chapter. 🥂

The owners of Malva- I have always felt like I wasn’t alone in my business with Malva. I am so thankful that you’ve always had my back and been a tower of strength that I could lean on in my moments of weakness. It’s inspired me and changed me forever for what true salon leadership can be. 🤍

Let me tell you how I came up with this salon name..

Nova meaning..

A star showing a sudden large increase in brightness and then slowly returning to its original state (kinda light a highlight 😂)

Also my dad would take me and my family camping when were we little and ask us to look for the brightest star in the sky and say it was his mom shining down on us 💫 a supernova is the brightest star in the sky!

Strands- like strands of your hair.. get it! Haha!! I wanted to do something other than “Salon” and strands just seemed to be perfect!!

I’m so looking forward to creating a community of likeminded individuals bringing light to clients in the community and making everyone feel like there best selves!

It’s truly a honor to bring you all Nova Strands! We can’t wait to make your hair dreams come true!!

Through my years of being a hairstylist I have tried to do all the things to make clients hair dreams come true. However I truly believe fashion color to this beautiful extent requires a SPECIALIST!! As you can tell from my feed, I don’t specialize in fashion color. But you know what!!! My good friend @studio_wolf does! And as you can tell from this photo she is so kick ass at it!! I loved getting to collab with her in this hair vision!!

I did 2.5 rows of 22 inch glorious @isla.naturalbeadedrows using an amazing technique I specialize in called Natural Beaded Rows or NBR.
